Do you remember your first vehicle?
Mine was a 2003 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II. Man that was one of my favorite trucks ever! Last week I got to hang out at the Houston Auto Show and check out all the new vehicles that come are coming out.
Now Ford, Ram, and Jeep all had some great trucks displayed at the Houston Auto Show. As well as tons of classic cars and high end vehicles were on display for everyone to get in and view. Each manufacture had representatives on hand to let people know about the vehicles.
Reasons Why to Attend an Auto Show
If you are in the market for a new vehicle, stopping by an auto show should be on your to-do list. And here’s why:
- Get an overview on what’s new.
- Shop your favorite brand and manufactures without the pressure of salespeople.
- Sit in different types of vehicles like I did.
- Test drive a vehicle from a leading car company.
- Have fun checking out the new cars and trucks.
But what really stood out to me was the Toyota line up of trucks.
If you didn’t know or if you are living under a rock it’s no secret that us Texans love our trucks. While I was at the Houston Auto Show I learned that Texas makes up the biggest consumers of trucks in the entire US.
Also, its no secret that us Texans love brands that are built here in Texas. Toyota is one of the manufactures that has a power plant here in Texas. A huge facility that builds the Toyota Tundras near San Antonio is open and operating making these trucks.
Ride and Drive
While I was taking in all the cars and trucks under the bight lights inside. I couldn’t wait to actually drive one. At the Houston Auto show I was able to drive Toyotas new hybrid vehicles. I rode in a Toyota Prius which get 58 miles to gallon in the city and looks cool!
I also got to ride in the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
Check out my ride alongs and recap of the Houston Auto Show.
